My client is my good friend back home, Robby. He is a Professional Fortnite Player and makes Youtube Videos, which is why he needed brand new art work done. I was asked to do a banner package which will include the following,
- Youtube Channel Banner
- Profile Picture Logo
- Video End Card
All of these designs are very important to have for a successful channel, which is why he will be my client. I enjoy making these designs, and I find it very fun to make since I'm skilled at making them. I came up with a good idea of giving him a black and white theme and incorporating the Betty Boop Koko the Clown as a ghost design from the 30's to add a nice black and white effect that goes well together. I went into illustrator and brought the image and drew it myself using the pen tool, and it came out looking decent. I then found a nice font and got the "P" and I cut up the ghost to make it go through the actual letter, and it looks great. Then for the background, it is a cloudy thunderstorm, which I added grey scale to and mixed around with the levels, and got my final project.
I will start by doing rough sketches of the whole design, and working with my client to find the best designs that he wants and will make his channel look great. I plan to work in Adobe Illustrator for the majority of it because it is perfect for this kind of designing. I also might go into Premiere Pro for the End card video if I plan on turning it into an actual video.
